April 2008 Prayer Letter

Who is she that looketh forth as the morning,

fair as the moon, clear as the sun,

and terrible as an army with banners? Song 6:10

Dear friend,

Haiti continues its slow trek towards holy transformation.  Kidnappings have resumed though not with the same frequency.  UN and Haitian National Police are high profile, even citizen vigilantism has prevented some abductions. Our prayers for Haiti must be unceasing. This is a progressive work.

Last month our home church suddenly expanded when 18 volunteers from a nearby mission came to worship with us.  God’s Littlest Angels workers come to Haiti to care for abandoned infants waiting for new families.  These young ladies from Canada and the US were blessed to attend Sunday morning worship and a Tuesday night bible study. Directors John and Dixie Bickel have asked us to continue our ministry with each subsequent group of volunteers. We were blessed to have them!

Ignoring the reports of kidnappers close to our home, Yvonne continues to walk over the mountain four times a week.  She says “greater is He that is in me!”  On these five mile jaunts Yvonne visits Pi Pireet.

Approximately 12 years old with cerebral palsy, he has experienced remission in the past year.  No seizures, no vomiting, weight gain, decreased arm tremors all mark the healing of a child never treated by a doctor.  Pi Pireet’s countenance glows with the good health of much prayer.  Please remember this child as we believe for clearer speech and the full use of his hands.

This coming week Yvonne and I will be filming a show on Haiti’s southern coast.  Fem Kredi is a US AID project that helps Haitian women borrow money to start small businesses.  Projects such as Fem Kredi prevent starvation; promote child care and education by giving families a livelihood.

Following this show we will start work on a source of Haiti’s pride – mangos. Though mango production is down by 40% as growers cannot meet USDA requirements against fruit fly infestations, Haiti’s mangos are the world’s finest.  This show will attract countless viewers interested in mangos who will then hear my teaching on bearing fruit for the King of Kings!  Glory to His wonderful name!

Your financial donation to Haiti for Christ should be mailed to Post Office Box 87, Franklin, VA 23851.  There a volunteer will deposit it in the Haiti For Christ account and 100% of the funds will be immediately available to us here in Haiti.  Our ministry is to cast a net that will bring in countless souls to the kingdom of God.  Your monthly financial support gives us the tools we need to do just that work.  Please write to us today.  Thank you very much.

Yours and His for Haiti,

Joel and Yvonne Trimble
