Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it Ps. 81:10
March 1, 2009
Dear friend,
Last week I received this note from a Haitian pastor:
As an Evangelist, your ministry has touched thousands and maybe millions without you knowing it. My people in Thomazeau, Haiti have been touched by your words and testimonies. I am so grateful for all your works and services to our ministry. . . I am writing to you asking you to be the guest speaker for our crusade in Haiti for the week of March 22 to the 27th coming up. I realize it might be a little late to let you know but, you are always in service whenever God calls on you . . .
The first week of February Yvonne and I traveled to Ottawa Canada as guest speakers to our new friends at Centre Reveil. A French speaking congregation with some Haitian members, Pastor Jean and his church want to build a bakery to feed Haiti’s poor. Our missionary friends at Love a Child, Bobby and Sherry Burnett, generously offered a place on their mission property for the bakery. Soon the French Canadian church will construct and outfit a bakery on the Love A Child compound. We were privileged to play a small part in bringing these two ministries together.
You may remember last summer when I visited Cite Soleil, residents there begged me to return and hold a televised crusade. In the August 2008 prayer letter we briefly mentioned the need to purchase equipment for evangelistic crusades in the villages we film for Creole Christian TV.
Cite Soleil, recently a gang stronghold and UN battle ground, received us gladly. Residents recognized me, gave us safe conduct and asked for a La Bonne Nouvelle evangelistic crusade to be televised in Cite Soleil. Fear has kept others from ministering to their area they said. August 2008
The French Canadian church, Centre Reveil, gave an offering that paid for our plane tickets there AND covered the purchase of a small generator and sound system. We returned to Haiti with the desperately needed dvd duplicator too! This will allow us to send La Bonne Nouvelle programs to sixty new Haitian television stations.
Though we have not yet found a home for Genevieve and her two sisters we are committed to pay their school tuition. Calls to the school verified the girls’ enrollment and the monthly cost of $100.00 for the orphaned girls. Please continue to pray for them as they are separated from each other, one sister is still missing. The monthly tuition does not include books, uniforms or meals.
This month we will minister in Thomazeau, Jacmel and soon Cite Soleil. His faithful provision directs these soul winning outreaches. Please continue to stand with us no matter how adverse the economic circumstances appear. Your monthly gift is tax deductible and deeply appreciated. Use the enclosed envelope and write to us today. Thank you.
Yours and His for souls,
Joel and Yvonne Trimble
