June 2008 Prayer Letter

June 1, 2008

Dear friend,

Nassau, Bahamas’ Haitian Crusade was wonderful as I ministered, first to a small group of Haitian leaders, and then to over a thousand gathered for worship. Haitians reportedly comprise one third of the Bahamian population; and we have been praying for a Nassau television opportunity.  When a Haitian producer offered to deliver my La Bonne Nouvelle shows to the local Bahamian station, I knew it was God’s answer!

Meanwhile back in South Florida, home to a large US Haitian population, our prayers for Miami and Fort Lauderdale were answered as Island TV asked if they could air La Bonne Nouvelle. When I went to finalize the details, the station invited me to be interviewed as a guest on a prime time show.  Asking all the right questions, the host enabled me to give my testimony and share our vision for Haiti’s miraculous transformation.  Glory to God!

While in Nassau, we learned more of the plight of Haitian boat people destined for the US but detained in Bahamas.  Members of our group fed the immigration prison population and came back with stories of babies and young orphaned children incarcerated and awaiting deportation.  Hope deferred and unimaginable heartache meet the Haitian at every juncture; more reason to broadcast The Good News, La Bonne Nouvelle.

Today I am moving my production equipment from Christian Television Network, West Palm Beach offices to our office in Haiti.  As La Bonne Nouvelle expands and enters it fourth season, it is expedient to do all production work in Haiti.  Recently we have hired two full time camera persons.  And we are outfitting the Haiti office with more equipment and furniture for a budget of $3000.00.  Your help is needed.

Last month brought us the magnificent gift of a professional producer, Luke Renner.  Luke generously gave one week of his time to travel to Haiti and train us in correct camera and editing technique – while we filmed Haiti’s mango production.  Luke and his family hear a call to Haiti, please pray for them as they seek His will.

After Luke came and before Nassau, Yvonne and I rose at 4:00AM and drove to the southern village of Fort Oge.  There we film documented two groups of Haitian women that have flourished because of a self help, credit coop project.  At two separate sites, over twenty women greeted us with singing, smiles and testimonies of livelihood enhancing, credit purchases made possible by the coop project. We pulled into our driveway at 7:30 PM, weary but grateful to preach the cross and reach more Haitians than ever.

You can be a part of reaching Haitians with the Good News of Christ’s redeeming cross and His miracle working power in Haiti by writing to us today. Your check should be made to: Haiti For Christ and mailed to POB 67, Franklin, Va  23851.  We want to hear from you and Haiti will see your gift translated into soul winning ministry that changes lives for eternity.  God bless you abundantly.

Serving the God of miracles,

Joel and Yvonne Trimble
