But whoever listens to me will dwell secure
and will be at ease, without dread of disaster Pr. 1:33
December 1, 2008
Dear friend,
For thirty three years we have lived in a country torn by political, economic, environmental and spiritual upheaval. Famine, coup d’états, civil war, riots, kidnapping, mass exodus, trade embargo, gasoline embargo, electric blackouts, droughts; we have worshipped through it all. Our God has never abandoned nor forsaken us. We have always had exactly what we needed to serve and obey Him. In fact, Jesus Christ has provided for us in the abundance of His riches. He protected all nine of us when the United Nations called Haiti the most dangerous place in the world. While gun point robbery and kidnapping raged on our street, to the right and to the left, it did not come nigh our dwelling.
I am sharing this with you now, because I sense the fear gripping the world as God’s judgment unfolds. Remember, we are exempt from judgment, washed in His blood, engraved upon the palm of His hand. We are His, bought with His shed blood, the very hairs of your head are numbered. I exhort you, do not be afraid, do not draw back, and do not allow your love to grow cold. This trial of faith will yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness if you do what Yvonne and I have learned to do in every crisis.
Revelations 12:13b-16 he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
When the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord raises up a standard. This standard is an impregnable stronghold, a hiding place in the wilderness, a secret place where we commune with Him in prayer. This wilderness is where Elijah was instructed to go, where John the Baptist emerged from; it is where the children of Israel were nurtured by Him for forty years. In the wilderness prayer closet, crying out for protection and provision, He promises: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Is.40:31
I know we are living in a time when men’s hearts fail them for fear, but we are not of them that draw back! God is with you financially and spiritually as sure as He has been with us for the past thirty three years. Be strong and courageous, it is our Father’s will to give us the kingdom. We are serving in the most miraculous age of the church. Those that have gone on before us that great cloud of witnesses, look on in awe at our opportunity to win souls!
Join us in this final hour as we press the claims of Christ in Haiti. Your prayers and your monthly gift are the backbone of our soul winning ministry. Write to us today at Haiti For Christ, Post Office Box 87, Franklin, VA 23851 and give according to your faith. God bless you with a Miraculous and Marvelous Christmas.
Believing the best is coming,
Joel and Yvonne Trimble
